What's On In Cambridge: February Edition
Aaaand just like that, we’re back!
With the tumultuous craziness that was December and January, it was easy to see those months run away from us and before we know it we’re entering the second month of the new year. Just a crazy thought to be wrapping our heads around.
So with no further ado, here are some of the exciting events coming up this Feb in Cambridge.
2nd February - Whanau Fun Day - Leamington Domain
Spend the day with the family amongst local stalls and activities at the Whanau Fun Day. Local stalls by community groups, including free sausage sizzle, games, face painting, bouncy castles and more! A fun day out to integrate yourself into the Cambridge community!
8-9th February - Hydro Thunder NZ Nationals - Karapiro Domain
The New Zealand Powerboat Nationals return to Lake Karapiro to run alongside round two of the 2020 NZGP Hydroplanes Hydro Thunder Series and Masport Cup.
From 8.30-4pm every day, come on down and watch these boats go head to head along the lake for a great day out. Ticket sales at the gate.

8th February - Bloom Collective Market - Leamington Domain
Spend your afternoon amongst some of the best local stalls, live music and food trucks at Leamington Domain at Febs Bloom Collective Market. Run from 2pm-8pm it’s your dinner and afternoon sorted!
7-9th February - Leamington Rugby Sports Club Fishing Contest
Take the kids out on the boat and join in on the annual fishing contest held over three days. Adult and under 12 year old categories with great prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd with lots of spot prizes.
Gutted and gilled weigh in on Sunday 9th at 2pm at Leamington Rugby Sports Club followed by public fish auction with proceeds going to Curekids.

13-16th February - RIDE NZ’ Cycling Festival - Victoria Square
Heighten a kids interest in cycling, and find fun activites for the whole family during the three-day cycling festival! Watch the Gran Fondo, enjoy the various activities throughout the weekend and enjoy the Saturday APL party in the green and bike film night on Saturday evening.

15th February - ‘Good Grief, Granny’s Gone!’ - Cambridge Library
Learn from farmer/author Richard Cato and author Kingsley Field about the importance of preserving history and our family stories that our grandparents used to tell us, and how best to do so. An important lesson for all of us as we work our way through our ancestry.
