Now is your chance
Enrol in our upcoming 10 Week Beginner German Course
Taught by a native German so you can learn so much more than just how to order a beer in a pub!
And be ready for when we finally get to travel again...
Why sign up to this course
What will we be covering
Learn some basics of the German language
Don't worry you will not need to know what an adjective or an irregular verb is.
I will teach you how to have a basic conversation, not to be able to write a university essay.
Basically you should be able to get yourself in but also OUT of trouble.
Understanding what makes Germans "tick"
There is much more to get yourself OUT of trouble in a country than just speaking the language. It's the stuff relationships and cultures are made of.
I will attempt to give you a glimpse into what makes us Germans tick. Are the stereotypes really true? And if so - are they all that bad?
Food and Drink
Of course we know Germans only drink beer and eat sausages, right?!
Let's challenge that preconceived idea and let me show you what else is behind the beer tent culture of the world.
Is this course right for me?

Meet your Tutor
Hi there, I'm Susanne and I'm an adopted kiwi ... kinda, almost.. basically.
I've been in New Zealand for over 15 years now, after coming here as a young backpacker, I got "stuck" when meeting a handsome kiwi bloke.
After studying at Waikato University while living in Hamilton, we ended up settling in beautiful Cambridge in 2014 and never looked back.
We've been back and fourth many a times over the years and I can truly say that me and my 3 kiwi kids do have two homes. My heart is still very much, after all those years, split in half.
I love New Zealand and its people, and I am a strong believer in my German roots and our traditions that I grew up with.
Over the years, I've tutored and taught German and although I'm not a trained teacher I believe my love of my language and culture makes up for what I might be missing in official qualification.
